About the Arvon Foundation
Arvon is a national creative writing charity which runs residential and online writing courses and activity for adults and young people. Each year we welcome state and independent schools to our writing houses and do funded work with partners like First Story, Anne Frank Trust and Virtual Schools.
Cultural activities provided for young people and those who work with them
Residential writing courses for young people (and adults) at Lumb Bank (Heptonstall) which was once the home of Ted Hughes
Creative writing days for schools which can be themed to support the curriculum eg nature, local history, environment or simply for wellbeing
Deliver creative writing activities in other settings within our Calderdale communities
