About Jeffrey Andrews

Jeffrey studied at the Slade School of Fine Art, London and is an artist who makes drawings, sculptures, photographs, site-specific installations and public artworks, exhibiting in galleries and community spaces.

He has designed and delivered creative learning and historical role-play activities with schools, museums, galleries, libraries, community groups, care homes and prisons with over 100,000 people for 30 years.

These learning activities are educational and interactive and can include a variety of art materials and techniques, exploring original and reproduction historical artefacts.

Jeffrey is a creative, energetic and practical person; passionate about using the arts to inspire well-being and learning for life.

He has work in public and private collections across the UK and a studio at Fletcher’s Mill, Dean Clough in Halifax, West Yorkshire.

Cultural activities provided for young people and those who work with them

Creative and historical workshop activities with schools, galleries, museums, libraries and community groups, including:

  • KS2, Creative Archaeology investigating the Stone Age, Iron Age, Ancient Egyptians, Ancient Greeks, Vikings and Anglo- Saxons.

  • KS1, Epic Explorers celebrating what Christopher Columbus and Neil Armstrong achieved.

  • KS1/2 Placemaking, exploring the school environment and creating a photocollage artwork.

  • KS1, Toys Through Time, discovering traditional toys and making connections with new ones.

  • Other bespoke workshops and extended projects can be designed on request.
