About this resource
Fashion Fictions for Children is a new resource pack designed for teachers and facilitators working in formal and informal settings with children aged 7-14. Fashion Fictions brings imagination, playfulness and hands-on exploration to education for sustainability. The resource pack offers a series of activities that invite children to imagine, explore and enact fictional worlds in which we live differently with our clothes. Through these playful, creative activities their eyes and minds can be opened to possibilities and pathways to sustainable change in the real world. The activities can be combined in many different ways to suit different age groups, timescales and settings.
Fashion Fictions is an international collective imagination project run by Amy Twigger Holroyd at Nottingham School of Art & Design, which has already involved thousands of people, all over the world. The Fashion Fictions for Children resource pack extends the reach of the project to children. You can find out more, download the FREE resource pack and see a short film about a schools pilot project that informed it on the Fashion Fictions website: https://fashionfictions.org/children/
