About Calderdale Theatre School

We are a local Performing Arts Company who deliver drama and dance in the community and in schools. Our coaches are industry experts qualified to deliver the highest provision.

Our theatre school is a friendly, fun and dynamic place to be, your child will be encouraged to play a major part in the creative process contributing ideas and making decisions about their work. Your child’s voice is important to us, including the shy and the confident alike, we will help you to build their confidence and character for whatever career the future holds. At Northern Arts Factory we are far removed from any notions of stardom or celebrity, your child’s happiness is at the heart of what we do.

In schools, your students will love our active workshops, they enrich the curriculum using dance and drama, inspiring creativity in the classroom and bringing their learning to life. Need help with a school production? We have experience creating, choreographing and directing shows, get in touch to discuss the support you need.

We can develop literacy, understanding and empathy through a range of practical approaches meeting the needs of individual schools. Bespoke planning with schools and clear objectives ensure our packages have impact on whole school improvement.

We can also enrich your PE curriculum or extra curricular needs through the delivery of Dance, short term or long term depending on your requirements.

Drama Classes - age 5-15 years

Whole School Enrichment Workshops - full days/half days
Active Literacy - six week programme
Topic Launch - Stone Age/Egyptians/Ancient Greece/Seasons/WW1/2/Great Fire of London/Stick Man/Introduction to Shakespeare
Dance in PE - full days/half days/full terms/half terms
Extra Curricular Clubs offered FREE with a six week booking
